Getting started with Wordtune
In this guide, you'll learn how to use Wordtune to refine your writing by rephrasing and improving your sentences. After reading this, you’ll be able to enhance your emails and documents effortlessly.Step 1: Sign up and set up
- Go to Wordtune's website.
- Click on the “Sign Up” button in the top right corner.
- You can choose to sign up using Google, Facebook, or your email. If using email, fill in your details and create a password.
- Once registered, you can download the Wordtune browser extension for Chrome or Firefox by clicking on the “Get the Extension” button.
- Follow the prompts to add the extension to your browser.
Step 2: Your first rewrite
- Open Gmail or Google Docs and write a sentence you want to improve.
- Highlight the text you wish to refine.
- Click on the Wordtune icon in the toolbar or right-click and select “Wordtune” from the context menu.
- A sidebar will appear with suggestions like “Rewrite”, “Shorten”, or “Expand”.
- Click on any suggestion to replace your original text. You can also keep tweaking until you find the best option.
Step 3: Get better results
- Use the “Tone” feature to adjust how formal or casual your text sounds. Click on “Tone” in the sidebar and select your preferred tone.
- Experiment with the “Shorten” and “Expand” options to find the right balance between brevity and detail.
- Regularly review the suggestions provided by Wordtune to learn and improve your own writing style over time.
