Getting started with Writerly AI

In this guide, you'll learn how to quickly set up Writerly AI and create your first piece of content for marketing or eCommerce. By the end, you’ll be generating written content efficiently without any coding knowledge.

Step 1: Sign up and set up

  1. Go to Writerly AI.
  2. Click on the "Get Started" button on the homepage.
  3. Fill in your email and create a password, then click "Sign Up".
  4. Confirm your email address by clicking the link in the confirmation email.
  5. Log in to your account. You’ll be greeted with a dashboard showcasing various templates and tools.

Step 2: Your first content piece

  1. From the dashboard, select a template that fits your needs (e.g., Blog Post, Product Description).
  2. Click on the chosen template. You’ll see a text box where you can enter your topic or keywords.
  3. Enter a brief description of what you want to write about; for example, “eco-friendly cleaning products”.
  4. Click on the "Generate" button. The AI will produce a draft based on your input.
  5. Review the generated content. Use the editing tools on the right to refine the text, adjust tone, or add personal touches.
  6. Once satisfied, click “Save” to keep your work or “Export” to download it in your preferred format.

Step 3: Get better results

  1. Experiment with different prompts to see how the AI responds. Be specific; the more detail you provide, the better the output.
  2. Use the “Rewrite” feature to get alternative versions of the generated text if you need more options.
  3. Check the “Language” settings to create content in different languages, which is useful for diverse audiences.

Pro tip

Take advantage of the Chrome extension. Install it from the Chrome Web Store to access Writerly AI templates directly while browsing, making it quicker to generate content as ideas strike.

Common mistake to avoid

Avoid being too vague with your prompts. A common mistake is entering general topics like “marketing”. Instead, be specific, such as “10 tips for social media marketing for small businesses” to get more relevant content.
