Getting started with Animaker

In this guide, you'll learn how to create animated videos using Animaker's user-friendly platform. By the end, you'll be able to produce your first video quickly and efficiently.

Step 1: Sign up and set up

1. Visit Animaker's website.
2. Click on the "Sign Up Free" button located at the top right corner.
3. Choose to sign up using your email or a social media account (Google or Facebook).
4. Complete the setup by following the on-screen instructions to verify your account.
5. Once signed in, you'll be taken to the dashboard where you can start creating videos.

Step 2: Your first animation

1. On the dashboard, click the "Create a Video" button.
2. Choose a template or select "Blank" to start from scratch.
3. Use the drag-and-drop interface to add characters, props, and backgrounds. You can find these in the left panel under "Characters," "Props," and "Backgrounds."
4. To add text, click on "Text" in the left panel, then drag your desired text style onto the canvas.
5. Click on the "Record" button to add voiceover or select "Voiceover" to use the text-to-speech feature.
6. Once satisfied, click the "Preview" button to see your animation.
7. If everything looks good, click the "Download" button to save your video or share it directly via social media.

Step 3: Get better results

1. Use the "Script to Video" feature by clicking "Script" in the left menu. Paste your script and let Animaker generate scenes for you.
2. Adjust character animations and timings by clicking on each element and using the properties panel on the right to refine their actions.
3. Experiment with different styles by clicking the "Styles" button to change the overall look of your video.
4. Don’t forget to save your project regularly using the "Save" button at the top.

Pro tip

Use keyboard shortcuts to speed up your workflow. For example, pressing "Ctrl + Z" will undo your last action, saving you time when making adjustments.

Common mistake to avoid

Avoid overcrowding your scenes with too many elements. This can make your animation look cluttered and distract from your message. Focus on a few key elements to ensure clarity and impact.
