Step 1: Sign up and set up

  1. Go to cal.com.
  2. Click on the "Sign Up" button in the top right corner.
  3. Choose to sign up using your email or a third-party account like Google.
  4. Follow the prompts to verify your account.
  5. Once logged in, you will see the dashboard. Click on "Settings" in the left sidebar to configure your profile and availability preferences.
  1. From the dashboard, click on “Create New Link” or the "+" button.
  2. Select the type of meeting you want to set up (e.g., 30-minute call).
  3. Fill in the details: Name your link, set the duration, and add a description if needed.
  4. Under "Availability," choose the days and times you are available for meetings.
  5. Click "Save" to create your scheduling link.
  6. Copy the generated link and share it with your clients or colleagues.

Step 3: Get better results

  1. Customise your booking flows by returning to the "Settings" and selecting "Booking Flows."
  2. Use the “AI Coordination” feature by enabling it in your settings. This will help match participants' availability automatically.
  3. For recurring meetings, set up a “Recurring Link” in the link creation menu to save time in the future.

Pro tip

Use the “Group Link” feature to allow multiple participants to book time slots with you. This saves time when coordinating team meetings, as it automatically finds a common available time.

Common mistake to avoid

Many users forget to set their availability properly. Ensure you check the "Availability" settings when creating your link; otherwise, clients may book meetings at inconvenient times.
