Getting started with Calendly
After reading this guide, you will be able to set up your Calendly account and schedule your first meeting effortlessly, eliminating the back-and-forth of email communication.Step 1: Sign up and set up
- Go to calendly.com.
- Click on the “Sign Up” button in the top right corner.
- Choose to sign up with your email or connect a Google or Microsoft account.
- Follow the prompts to create your account and verify your email.
- Once logged in, click on “Account Settings” in the dropdown menu under your profile picture to set your time zone and availability.
Step 2: Your first event
- On your dashboard, click the “Create Event Type” button.
- Choose the type of event: “One-on-One” for individual meetings.
- Set the event name, duration, and location (e.g., Zoom, Phone Call).
- Under “When can people book this event?”, select your availability by choosing specific days and times.
- Click “Save & Close” to finish setting up your event type.
- Copy the link provided and share it with others to start booking.
Step 3: Get better results
- To customize your event further, go back to the event type and click “Edit”.
- Add questions for invitees under the “Invitee Questions” section to gather more information before the meeting.
- You can also integrate Zoom or other video conferencing tools by clicking on “Integrations” in the main menu and following the prompts.
- For group events, select “Group” when creating an event type, and set the maximum number of participants.
