Getting started with Mem
In this guide, you'll learn how to set up Mem, create your first note, and make the most of its AI-powered features to organise your thoughts effectively.Step 1: Sign up and set up
- Go to mem.ai.
- Click on the "Get Started for Free" button.
- Sign up using your email address or continue with Google.
- Once signed up, follow the on-screen prompts to set up your profile and preferences.
Step 2: Your first note
- After logging in, click on the "New Note" button located in the top left corner.
- Start typing your note in the text area that appears.
- To add tags, type
#followed by your tag name. For example,#meeting. - To create links between notes, type
[[and start typing the title of another note. Select it from the dropdown that appears. - Click "Save" (if prompted) to keep your note.
Step 3: Get better results
- Use the "Search" bar at the top to quickly find notes by keywords or tags.
- To enhance your notes, use the "Highlight" feature by selecting text and clicking the highlighter icon that appears.
- Regularly revisit and update your notes to keep them relevant and useful.
- Explore the "Explore" section from the sidebar to see AI-suggested connections between your notes.
