Getting started with Moosend

In this guide, you'll learn how to set up your Moosend account and create your first email marketing campaign with predictive product recommendations in just a few minutes. By the end, you'll be ready to send engaging emails that drive conversions.

Step 1: Sign up and set up

  1. Go to moosend.com.
  2. Click on the Get Started Free button on the homepage.
  3. Fill in your details (email, password, etc.) and click Create Account.
  4. Verify your email by clicking the link sent to your inbox. Once verified, log in to your account.

Step 2: Your first email campaign

  1. From the dashboard, click on the Campaigns tab in the left sidebar.
  2. Click the Create Campaign button.
  3. Choose a campaign type (e.g., Regular Campaign) and click Next.
  4. Enter your campaign name and select your mailing list, then click Next.
  5. In the email editor, choose a template or start from scratch using the Drag & Drop Editor.
  6. Add content blocks (text, images, buttons) by dragging them from the left panel into your email layout.
  7. To include product recommendations, click on the Product Recommendations block and configure it to display items based on customer behaviour.
  8. Once satisfied, click the Next button, review your campaign settings, and click Send or Schedule to send your email.

Step 3: Get better results

  1. Use the Segmentation feature to target specific audience groups based on their past interactions.
  2. Experiment with A/B testing by creating variations of your email to see what resonates best with your audience.
  3. Set up Automations by clicking on the Automations tab and selecting an automation type (e.g., welcome series) to keep your audience engaged over time.

Pro tip

Make use of the Preview and Test feature before sending your campaign. This allows you to see how your email will look on different devices, ensuring your design is responsive and visually appealing.

Common mistake to avoid

Avoid sending your email without segmenting your audience. Sending the same email to everyone can lead to lower engagement rates. Always tailor your content to suit the preferences and behaviours of different segments of your audience.
