After reading this guide, you'll be able to quickly set up Notion AI Q&A and start retrieving information from your Notion workspace with ease.Step 1: Sign up and set up
- Go to Notion's website.
- Click on the "Get Started for Free" button if you don't have an account. If you do, click "Log In."
- Follow the prompts to create your account or log in.
- Once logged in, navigate to your workspace. Ensure you have the AI feature enabled in your settings. To do this, click on "Settings & Members" in the sidebar and then select "Settings." Look for the "AI" section to enable it.
Step 2: Your first Q&A
- Open a Notion page where you want to use the AI feature.
- Type a question related to your notes, databases, or documents. For example, “What are my project deadlines?”
- Press “Enter.” Notion AI will scan your entire workspace and display relevant answers in a pop-up window below your question.
- Review the answers and click on any of the suggestions to navigate directly to the relevant page or section.
Step 3: Get better results
- Be specific with your questions. Instead of asking “What is my plan?”, try “What are the steps for the marketing plan?”
- Use keywords that are consistent with how you've labelled your notes or databases. This will help the AI find the most relevant information.
- If you have a lot of data, consider organising your pages and databases more clearly. This will improve the accuracy of the results.
