Getting started with Reflect
In this guide, you'll learn how to set up Reflect, create your first note, and make the most of its features, including AI assistance and bidirectional links. By the end, you'll be ready to organise your thoughts securely and efficiently.Step 1: Sign up and set up
- Go to Reflect's website.
- Click on the Sign Up button in the top right corner.
- Choose your payment plan: either $12/month or $120/year for full features.
- Enter your email address and create a password, then click Create Account.
- Verify your email through the link sent to your inbox.
- Log in to your account, and you will be greeted by the main dashboard, ready for note-taking.
Step 2: Your first note
- On the dashboard, click the New Note button (usually a plus sign or a pencil icon).
- Type a title for your note in the Title field.
- In the main text area, write your content. You can format text using the toolbar options above.
- To create a bidirectional link, type
[[followed by the name of another note you want to link to, then close with]]. If it doesn’t exist, Reflect will create a new note with that title. - Click Save to store your note securely.
Step 3: Get better results
- Use the Search bar at the top to quickly find notes or specific content.
- To ask the AI assistant a question about your notes, click the AI Assistant button on the sidebar, type your query, and hit Enter.
- Organise notes by tagging them; simply add
#tagnameanywhere in your note. This helps in categorising and retrieving related notes easily.
