A practical guide to get you up and running with Structured. Written by Delv Editorial, Delv Team.

Getting started with Structured

In this guide, you'll learn how to set up Structured and create your first daily plan using its visual timeline feature. By the end, you'll be able to organise your tasks and events effectively.

Step 1: Sign up and set up

  1. Go to structured.app.
  2. Click on the "Get Started" button in the centre of the page.
  3. Choose to sign up using your email or through Google. If you select email, fill in your details and click "Sign Up."
  4. Verify your email if prompted, then log in to your account.
  5. Once logged in, you will be greeted with a tutorial. Follow the on-screen instructions to familiarise yourself with the layout.

Step 2: Your first daily plan

  1. In the main dashboard, click on the "+" button or "Add Task" to create your first task.
  2. Enter a task name and set its duration by selecting the start and end times.
  3. To add more tasks, repeat this process. You can drag and drop tasks to rearrange them on the timeline.
  4. To add calendar events, click on the "Calendar" icon in the sidebar, then sync your preferred calendar (Google, Outlook, etc.) by following the prompts.
  5. Review your timeline to ensure all tasks and events are displayed correctly.

Step 3: Get better results

  1. Use the "Routines" feature by clicking on the "Routines" tab to create recurring tasks (e.g., daily exercise). Click "Add Routine" and set your preferences.
  2. Customise your timeline view by selecting "Settings" from the sidebar. Here, you can choose your preferred time format and colour themes.
  3. Use the "Focus Mode" button to hide distractions and concentrate on one task at a time.

Pro tip

To save time, set up your routine tasks in advance. This allows you to quickly add them to your daily plan without needing to recreate them each time.

Common mistake to avoid

Many users forget to sync their calendars, which can lead to missed events. Always ensure your calendar is connected and updated for a complete view of your schedule.
