A practical guide to get you up and running with Supertranslate. Written by Delv Editorial, Delv Team.

Getting started with Supertranslate

In this guide, you'll learn how to translate documents while keeping their original formatting intact using Supertranslate. By the end, you'll be able to upload your files and get accurate translations in just a few clicks.

Step 1: Sign up and set up

  1. Go to Supertranslate.
  2. Click on the “Sign Up” button in the top right corner.
  3. Enter your email address and create a password, or sign up using Google for a quicker process.
  4. Once signed up, log in to access the main dashboard.

Step 2: Your first translation

  1. On the dashboard, click on the “Upload Document” button.
  2. Select the document you wish to translate (supported formats include DOCX, PDF, and PPTX).
  3. After uploading, choose the original language of the document and the target language for translation from the dropdown menus.
  4. Click the “Translate” button to start the process.
  5. Wait for a moment as the translation is processed. Once done, you will see a download link for your translated document.

Step 3: Get better results

  1. For documents with complex formatting, consider using the “Preview” option before finalising the translation. This allows you to check how the layout is maintained.
  2. If the translation doesn’t meet your expectations, try adjusting the original language selection or re-uploading the document with clearer formatting.
  3. Use short paragraphs and clear headings in your original document to help the AI produce better translations.

Pro tip

When uploading documents, ensure that any images or charts are clearly labelled. This helps the AI understand the context better, leading to improved translation quality.

Common mistake to avoid

Avoid uploading overly complex documents with heavy formatting or embedded objects, as these can confuse the translation tool and result in errors. Stick to simpler layouts for best results.
