Getting started with Zapier AI
After reading this guide, you will be able to set up your first automation using Zapier AI, allowing you to connect various apps and streamline your tasks effortlessly.Step 1: Sign up and set up
- Go to zapier.com.
- Click on the Sign Up button in the top right corner.
- Enter your email address and create a password, or sign up using Google or Microsoft.
- Once signed up, you’ll be taken to the dashboard. You can start with the free tier, which allows you to create 100 tasks per month.
Step 2: Your first automation
- Click on the Create Zap button on your dashboard.
- In the "Trigger" section, choose the app you want to start with (e.g., Gmail). Click Continue.
- Select a specific trigger event (e.g., "New Email"), then click Continue.
- Connect your Gmail account by clicking Sign in to Gmail and authorising Zapier.
- Next, in the "Action" section, click on Add Action. Choose another app (e.g., Slack) to send notifications.
- Select an action event (e.g., "Send Channel Message"), then click Continue.
- Connect your Slack account and set up the message details.
- Finally, click Test & Continue to ensure everything works, then click Turn on Zap.
Step 3: Get better results
- Use the AI feature by clicking on the Use AI button when creating a Zap.
- Type in a natural language command describing what you want to automate (e.g., "Send a Slack message when I receive a new Gmail").
- Review the suggested automation and make any necessary adjustments before clicking Use This Zap.
- Experiment with different triggers and actions to see how they interact, refining your automations as needed.
