Getting started with Any.do

In this guide, you'll learn how to set up Any.do, create tasks, and manage your daily schedule effectively. By the end, you’ll be able to streamline your tasks and reminders in one place.

Step 1: Sign up and set up

  1. Go to Any.do.
  2. Click on the "Get Started" button on the homepage.
  3. Choose to sign up using your email address or a social media account (Google or Facebook).
  4. Follow the prompts to create your account. You may need to verify your email.
  5. Once logged in, you’ll see a brief tutorial. Take a moment to familiarise yourself with the interface.

Step 2: Your first task

  1. Click on the "+ Add Task" button located at the top of your task list.
  2. Type your task in the text box and hit "Enter" to save it.
  3. To set a reminder, hover over the task and click on the "Remind Me" icon (bell symbol).
  4. Choose a date and time for the reminder, then click "Done."
  5. To categorise your task, click on the "Tags" icon (label symbol) and select or create a tag like "Work" or "Personal."

Step 3: Get better results

  1. Use the "Today" view to manage your daily tasks effectively. Click on "Today" in the left sidebar.
  2. To schedule tasks, click on the task and select the "Schedule" option. Choose a date and time.
  3. Explore the "Calendar" feature by clicking on "Calendar" in the left sidebar to view your tasks alongside your events.
  4. Use the "Recurring Tasks" option by clicking on a task, selecting "Repeat," and choosing how often you want it to recur (daily, weekly, etc.).

Pro tip

Maximise your efficiency by using voice commands. Click on the microphone icon in the task entry box to quickly add tasks without typing.

Common mistake to avoid

Many users forget to set reminders for their tasks, leading to missed deadlines. Always set a reminder right after creating a task to ensure you stay on track.
