Getting started with Motion
With Motion, you can automate your scheduling by having your to-do list, meetings, and projects organised into your calendar based on deadlines and priorities. After this guide, you'll be ready to streamline your time management effectively.Step 1: Sign up and set up
- Go to Motion's website.
- Click on the "Get Started" button in the top right corner.
- Choose your plan: select "Individual" for $19/month or "Team" for $12/user/month.
- Fill in your details and create your account.
- Once signed in, grant Motion access to your existing calendar by following the prompts.
Step 2: Your first task
- On the dashboard, click "Add Task".
- Enter your task title, set a deadline, and assign a priority (High, Medium, Low).
- Click "Save". Your task will now be automatically scheduled based on your calendar availability.
- To add a meeting, click "Add Meeting" and fill in the details, including participants and time.
Step 3: Get better results
- Use the "Focus Mode" to block time for important tasks. Click on the "Focus" button on the dashboard.
- Adjust your settings in the "Preferences" menu to customise notifications and task reminders.
- Regularly review your scheduled tasks and meetings to ensure priorities are aligned with your current goals.
