Getting started with Spike
With Spike, you’ll transform your email experience into a chat-like interface, making it easier to manage conversations and collaborate effectively. This guide will help you set up your account and send your first message in under five minutes.Step 1: Sign up and set up
- Go to spikenow.com.
- Click on the "Get Started for Free" button on the homepage.
- Enter your email address and create a password, then click "Sign Up".
- Verify your email by clicking the link Spike sends to your inbox.
- Log in to Spike and follow the on-screen prompts to complete your profile setup.
Step 2: Your first conversation
- Once logged in, you’ll see your inbox in a chat format.
- To start a new conversation, click on the "New Message" button (usually a pencil icon) located in the top left corner.
- Enter the recipient's email address in the "To" field.
- Type your message in the chat box at the bottom and hit "Send".
- You can add attachments using the paperclip icon if needed.
Step 3: Get better results
- Use the search bar at the top to quickly find specific conversations by sender or keyword.
- Create groups for team discussions by clicking "New Group" and adding multiple contacts.
- Customise notifications by clicking on your profile picture, selecting "Settings", then "Notifications" to adjust your preferences.
- Use the "Snooze" feature on messages to temporarily hide them and bring them back later.
